Make sure you RSVP for the Fall Student Welcome. You should have done so by last Friday, but if you haven't done so and still want to go, get on it ASAP. You should have received an invite from SCMEF. The RSVP info was with that email invitation.
Also, wish Alyssa Zayas, Neil Devlin, Nick Staykow and Javier Mederos luck in the national DBIA competition. Once again, Sac State gets to play David to Auburn and Colorado State's Goliath. Go kick their butts!
Still a ton of activity on the job leads front. A lot of these jobs are for interns. The best way to get your dream job upon leaving Sac State is to have real industry experience on your resume. There are several opportunities below to get that experience.

What's Going on In Classes
I hate bs "the dog ate my homework" style excuses, but I need to use one. My laptop is still being worked on by IT (since last Wednesday), so things are going to move slowly for a few days. I sincerely hope it's ready on Monday, but if not, bear with me. All of my class-related files are on it.
CM 121: We will review the midterm on Tuesday and discuss estimating wood framing on Thursday. We will begin estimating wood framing this week in lab. I sincerely hope to get feedback back to you this week regarding labs...
CM 124: We have a site visit to an Overaa project (water treatment plant). Not sure if we're going to the site next to campus or closer to downtown, but Gareth will have more info. One thing that we ask is that you WEAR A WHITE HARD HAT on the site visit. Actually, Gareth and I aren't asking, Overaa is. If you have a white hard hat, then great, wear it. If you have an extra white hard hat, bring it for a homie in you lab section.
CM 126: Monday's presentations will be will be courtesy of Matt Davidson and Josh Sheneman. Wednesday is a Angel Santa Cruz and Preston Tziouvaras production. Aside from their presentations, Monday's class is up in the air due to my computer issues. By Wednesday, I hope to revive the case studies and get you another one. Stay tuned.
I teach people who will be building our country's infrastructure.
